Hello! We hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend. We had a very eventful few days, that’s for sure. We were able to spend a lot of time with friends and family and Emergency Room employees (more on that later) and we’re still feeling the effects (some more than others)!
On Wednesday I met up with some longtime friends to continue our yearly tradition of decorating gingerbread houses. In honor of a recent trip to San Francisco that we all took together, we decided to base (sometimes loosely) our gingerbread houses on SF landmarks. It’s safe to say that Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Ferry Building were pretty much dominated. It was great to get together, reminisce and get all sorts of hopped up on candy.
Justin and I also spent some time decorating the house and taking our official Christmas card picture. I’ve got to tell you, it was tough getting Brody to sit still for the photographer at Sears, and they sure did cost a pretty penny, but I’m sure you’ll agree that it was worth it!
Just kidding. Well, not completely; that actually was our Christmas card, but we didn’t pay for it. My mom came over and patiently snapped away until we got it juuuust right. You have to work to get a picture that good. Here are a couple that didn’t make the cut:
I know what you’re thinking, and yes, that is a ladies’ sweater vest that Justin is sporting. It was the finest that KMart had to offer and it fit him like a glove.
Stay tuned for more Christmas weekend updates!
