The stuff has really hit the fan over here at the Wily Hound and I’m ashamed to admit that it’s 1,000% my fault.

Now I’m no stranger to computer problems, as I’ve mentioned before. I’ve erased posts, deleted pictures, accidentally posted posts before they were ready for the public…the list goes on. But this one kind of takes the cake.

The good news is that Justin wasn’t even mad that I caused irreparable damage to the laptop by spilling water on it, which I think is a real testament to his patient and understanding nature.

The bad news is that I never really got around to backing up all of my pictures and the kind folks at the computer repair shop aren’t sure that they will be able to salvage them.

The good news is that I still had a lot of my old pictures (like pictures from our honeymoon, from when we first got Brody, from all of the weddings and wedding events that we’ve ever attended, family vacations, our first and second Christmases together, etc) on our old digital camera.

The bad news is that I am currently unable to determine the whereabouts of said digital camera.

The good news is that I’ve still got some current pictures on our new camera. Not all current pictures, but some current pictures.

Let’s end on a good note, shall we? I’m not sure how many more of my own mistakes I can own up to and still be able to look at myself in the mirror. Even Brody is starting to give me the side-eye, as if to say “Really? You didn’t think to back up any of your pictures? I mean, I’m not even going to start in on the whole water-on-the-computer thing, that’s just too dumb, but you really didn’t bother saving those pictures anywhere else? Those are my BABY pictures for crying out loud!”

Sooo yeah, that’s what’s going on here. Hopefully I’ll get my life in order a little bit this weekend and in the meantime I will be doing my best to not take down any more electronics.
